Works Of HeART Show

The Works of HeART Project is encouraging EVERYONE EVERYWHERE to make a difference by utilizing their creative and artistic talents to spread kindness, promote inclusion, and take a stand against bigotry and bullying.

This Vancouver Island-based group has joined forces with the Nanaimo Arts Council to host an impactful, multimedia art exhibition called the ‘Works of HeART Show’. This is no ordinary exhibit. It comes with a powerful reminder that racism and intolerance are still prevalent today and must be continually challenged.

“Art can be a catalyst for social change,” says project founder, Micki Findlay. It can push boundaries and break down barriers caused by ignorance and fear. We do not need more walls – we need more understanding.”

Micki Findlay is an award-winning, freestyle 'photo-artist' who has a passion for the arts which include the theater, music and computer graphics. She was to discover, later on in life, that she possessed a love for photography after receiving a digital
