The beauty of digital photography is the freedom it offers; sometimes I feel like doing a natural piece but other times, I feel like playing in my 'sandbox' and getting all artsy-fartsy. This is a piece I call 'Breaking Free', which took me several hours to complete.

I did not realize this as I was working on it, but I feel it depicts my personality very well... I am a pretty colourful individual, for starters. But I tend to be more of an 'in the box' kind of person in that I am quite traditional in some areas of my life. Those areas I am pretty immovable in as they help give me a sense of stability.... an anchor, if you will. But, on the other hand, I am fairly rebellious and hate to be placed into a 'mold'. Sometimes I will act silly and I tend to shock people a little with my transparency, especially around those people who I sense are trying to put me into some kind of mold. So I suppose I am two people in one... a true Gemini. So I enjoy the security and comfort of my 'boxes' of choice but I also refuse to allow others to place me into their boxes. If I did, I would no longer be colourful. Been there, done that. Never again.
